MusikMakers teacher training
MusikMakers training is arranged in three phases which you can work through in your own time and at your own pace. "Click Here for Requirements for becoming a licensed MusikMakers teacher."
Phase 1: Introduction:
A: Personal Profile
This is a chance to tell us about yourself so that we learn about your musical knowledge, past experiences and educational background.
B: Skills Assessment
A basic general knowledge test will be completed and you will be asked to video record yourself singing, clapping rhythms, speaking rhymes and telling a story.
Phase 2: Teaching MusikMakers
In this phase you will learn how to teach the programs and run your MusikMakers business. Topics covered will be:
- Use of the teachers' manuals
- Children's worksheets
- Child development
- Teaching methods and class management
- Setting up and running your business
A DVD / video will be provided so that you can see experienced teachers in action.
Phase 3: Completion
In the final phase of training you will spend ONE WHOLE DAY with one of the MusikMakers training team. This will be a final check that you have all of the basic knowledge necessary for success as a MusikMakers teacher. It will also be an opportunity for you to discuss the programs face-to-face and to ask any questions that may have arisen during the training.You will have the opportunity to work with a small number of children. You will get immediate feedback from a caring and supportive trainer, while being provided with hints for future class teaching.
